My client in the Internet/ISP sector is looking to recruit a [2nd/3rd Line Support Consultant for their site located north of Manchester. You will be working in a new division providing dedicated support to Business Customers of the company, of the managed hardware [inc. high end business grade routers & firewalls]. The role will also expand into other hardware categories inc. VoIP PBX & managed switches. You will also be required to: Process the queue of managed support tasks. Diagnose circuit/hardware faults. Assist with the diagnosis of circuit faults and technical consultancy regarding changes to existing products. You will also be responsible for assisting customers to accurately complete configuration forms, build & test new managed hardware devices & assist with installation of hardware devices. It is ideal that you have a high level qualification in Computing [NVQ Level 4 or higher] or that you are degree educated in an IT related subject. You will be willing to achieve CCNA within the 1st 6 months & it is necessary that you have good experience within a technical role as well as excellent customer service skills. You will need to be able to produce work to high standards and be able to work to tight deadlines. You will also be required to motivate, mentor & support the Network Systems Engineers whilst implementing, maintaining & monitoring a range of Server, Network & other IT Infrastructure technologies as well as reacting to support 3rd line queries. It is essential that you have had good, relevant experience within a similar role and also an in-depth understanding of Windows 2003 Server [ideally to MCSE level]. It is ideal if you are CCNA/CCNP accredited. You will be responsible for developing a clear market strategy with an emphasis on maximising business opportunity for the company's recently launched voice product portfolio by developing an understanding of market dynamics & customer needs within all relevant market sectors. You will also be required to identify & maximise market opportunities for a given product or service within each market segment [business/residential/channel], ensuring decisions are taken with a full understanding of impact on business performance. To develop a clear product strategy for the products, ensuring it is correctly positioned in terms of breadth & depth of functionality. To develop product pricing strategy which is well researched, clear & communicated to customers & internal stakeholders. You will also be responsible for: Identifying opportunities to generate increased sales volume & increased average unit sales value via sales/marketing activity.
